previous review
I couldn't agree more with the previous reviewer. This show is great from beginning to end. One of the best Keel recordings on the archive. The jam into Corn Liquor is the heat. Larry is just so damn fast, and original too.

Thanks!
I appreciate seeing this, excellent show.
The song "I dont mind..." is actually titled just "They".

Johnny Hartford!
The song called "Down by the River" is actually an incredible John Hartford song called "First Girl I Loved", off his album called Aereoplain. If you like Larry Keel's music, I would suggest that everybody should listen to Aereoplain. It may possibly be the best album on the face of the planet. This was actually my first time listening to Larry Keel--I like it! I'd heard some of him and his wife on Keller's CD "Grass", but never him with the Natural Bridge. Good stuff.

great great show
Thanks for the effort and the wonderful results on this! This was a great great time. Lord I Thank You song is Put It On by Bob Marley I think, and Take Me In is just called The Snake, I believe. Not sure about the other two.
Any chance that Chittlin's short set might make it up? She was great on Friday Night before the Avett Brothers.

fun times
I mixed FOH this and the most of the other acts that weekend. It was a lot of fun and I made some good friends. Larry was a fun guy on and off the stage.

Pure Majesty
The tapers of this show pull off some more magic at the Uprising with this recording of Keel's Friday night set. This is a stellar matrix recording that offers the listener the best seat in the house. You can hear each musician's subtle textures and nuances perfectly.
There's really no words that can give justice to Larry Keel's flatpicking. It's the stuff legends are made of. Listen to track 9 and you will be given your daily sacrament of bluegrass improvisation....the way Keel dances across the top of the rhythm is pure majesty.
